Summary
Within this book the author’s main message is to spread peace, love, and happiness throughout the world. A common phrase that is used throughout the book is “Assalamu Alaikum” which means peace to you, in Arabic. The main character’s goal is to “spread love and peace and all of my happiness”. This promotes a positive message for readers as they can then be motivated to share their happiness and positivity to others in their lives and even in the world.

I thought this book was wonderfully written and illustrated. It also brought forth a positive message that allows others to welcome this same mindset. When others are feeling down or having a bad day you can share love, peace, and kindness with them and even the world, making it a better place. This book also promotes people to develop respect and appreciation for other cultures and welcomes diversity through the message to “spread peace on the Earth”.
Teaching Ideas
This book has a powerful message of spreading peace and can be used within the classroom to promote positivity. A way that this can be utilized to teach is by having students read the text and then allow them to write about ways that they can promote positivity and kindness into the world or even within the classroom. This book can be utilized for simple activities but still hold a great deal of value for students to promote relationship building skills and ways to make the world a better place.
