Personal Response
This book was a brief but powerful message about the importance of protecting water and other natural resources. The illustrations are amazing; some of them would make beautiful posters all on their own. I love the cultural infusion with modern day problems. It gives a great insight to the values and belief systems of the Native American tribes.
Teaching Ideas
This book would serve as a powerful introduction to a reduce, reuse, recycle lesson. It not only gives cultural prospective but delivers helpful information about the importance of keeping our earth clean.
